This article examines the current state and development prospects of the Moscow Region’s cheese market, identifying its key stakeholders, competitors, consumer base, and foreign trade relations. A comprehensive marketing analysis highlights primary trends across various cheese categories within Russia. By the end of 2025, the Moscow Region’s market volume reached approximately 177,000 tons, accounting for 38% of total production in Central Russia. Due to high quality and product diversity, regional brands have gained significant attraction both domestically and internationally. Currently, the region maintains a dominant industry position, supplying 20.6% of the domestic market. With Russia’s cheese self-sufficiency at 76%, the sector remains one of the most promising segments of the dairy industry, driven by rising internal demand and expanding its export potential. Support measures for new cheese production facilities in the Moscow Region include tax incentives, preferential loans, and equipment subsidies, as well as the reimbursement of capital expenditures, engineering infrastructure costs, and labeling equipment expenses. Additionally, land is allocated without a tender on preferential terms. The study also provides a comparative analysis of major producers, price trends for 2025, and an overview of import-export dynamics.
